Who lives in the pineapple under the sea? SpongeBob SquarePants! It will be a fantasy adventure of diving into the deep sea, SpongeBob and Patrick will come together and rush to the focus of the world for Krabby Patty!!! Nothing is gonna stop them, not even Plankton.

  • During the development process, I first identified the character story theme and drew each game character and object in the AI. Before starting the design of the levels, I sought some basic advice from experienced game students around me and then draw sketches of the game mechanics on the Ipad. This helped me to reduce a lot of trouble when designing on Unity later. During the design process, I also had many experiments with different placement and game experiences to ensure that the player can complete the task smoothly but not easily.
  • In the overall development process, I think it is successful in shaping the characters of the game, and the whole game has a very complete character relationship and logical storyline. And the characters are well connected with each other in a game way, and the final result is more than satisfactory to me.
  • My failure in the development process was that when I set up the character animator, I deleted the related code because I wanted to cancel the effects at a later stage, but it caused an error in unity and the path to the original code could not be found. This problem caused me to be stuck for a very long time. The other is that I have been unable to get the character to enter level3 from the level2 door, which is something I have been trying over and over again.
  • I think the first thing you should do when you get to a design problem or an error in the code is to Google the information. Some basic information can help you think about reworking your code, but after many failed attempts, I had the option to ask for help from a classmate who is good at Unity. I think asking for help from your classmates is a great way to learn a lot of practical things quickly and in the shortest possible time and to learn from each other a lot of things you may not know. It is very important to find your own learning status and style better.
  • If I had more time, there are 3 main areas I would like to improve the game. Backgrounds, animation, and soundtrack. This is something I really wanted to cover in this assignment, but I didn't end up completing them because of time issues, and I haven't been able to find a suitable soundtrack for the game. I hope I can get a chance to refine them more because together I think the game experience will be more complete and interesting.

This gave me such nostalgia!!! I loved the design of the game and the way you kept the cohesive aesthetic throughout. I think its a little too easy to bite the dust in this but it was really enjoyable to play, I commend you for making this adorable throwback game

This SpongeBob game is so cute. Although, it is a little difficult to pass. I have played several times and did not pass the second level. I always run into the enemy. Whereas, I really like the overall style of art. It feels like playing in the Bikini Beach.

I loved the aesthetic design of the game and how you have created a story around it. Its really fun and frustrating at the same time because I keep on getting the game over screen. I think the game might have been slightly easier if Spongebob was smaller in size. There were points in level 1 where spongebob would get stuck and I would not be able to move the obstacle out of the way.

Overall, its a well executed game. Thumbs up for the work you have put into it.

I really enjoyed your drawings and the theme of your game! It's almost fun how frustrating it is because you can die really easily when you touch an enemy. I liked how fleshed out the levels are and how it gets harder and harder each round.

Yes, I agree, planning game interactions first will help you a lot of time according to concept and story. then you can start concrete visual design. that's what I have also learned most in recent days. A nice illustration and color scheme. in the game experience, I kinda liked the obstacles blocking my way to the key and door in level 1. then oh man... so hard to get out of the blocks! but keeps me attempting
